What is Sapo/Kambo? And What is the Difference? Sapo/Kambo is a powerful and efficient frog medicine used by the indigenous tribes of Peru, Colombia and Brazil Amazonia. The Latin name for the medicine is Phyllomedusa Bicolor. Sapo is indigenous to the Matses tribe in Peru while Kambo to that of the indigenous tribes of the Brazilian Amazon. The secretion is the same in that Kambo and Sapo is the same medicine/ secretion of the Monkey Tree Frog. What is uniquely different in the two is that the application is slightly different. The Matses people only serve two points to begin with and hydrate the medicine with saliva. The enzymes in the saliva activate the peptides in the medicine which makes for a stronger more complete and efficient experience. The way of the Kambo is different. The people of the Brazilian Amazonia hydrate the medicine with water which doesn't activate the peptides and thus decreasing the efficiency of the medicine, making it weaker and less potent. They say one point of Sapo is the equivalent to five points of Kambo. After working with both applications dozens of times spanning over a year and a half I prefer the way in which I was trained in the Sapo method. It gets to the root of the dis-ease far more quickly, far more efficiently. If given the option I would turn down a Kambo session and just assume serving myself Sapo.
In the treatment of pain in the body, Sapo/Kambo is known to be 4000 times more potent than Morphine. Clinical studies have identified two of the peptides Dermorphin and Deltorphin in the secretion. These peptides are potent opioid receptors thus proving Sapo/Kambo to be an excellent and affective treatment in Opiate addiction.
As well as being an excellent facilitator in energetic clearing, Sapo/Kambo has many physical benefits. The Medicine is utilized by the indigenous people, the hunters of the tribe for increased strength, stamina, hearing and eyesight all of which lend to a more effortless ability to locate food.

Please DO NOT participate in Sapo/Kambo if: *You are 15 years of age or younger *If you think you could be pregnant *If you are pregnant or breastfeeding babies under the age of 6 months old. *If you have ANY serious heart conditions or have had heart surgeries. *If you are currently taking medications for low blood pressure. *If you have had a Stroke, Aneurysm, Blood clots or Bleeding in the brain. *If you lack the mental capacity to decide to take Sapo/Kambo *If you happen to be taking any psychological medications other than anti-depressants *If so this needs to be discussed before hand. *If you have a history of serious mental and or psychological episodes, this needs to be discussed before hand. *If you are currently taking immune-suppressants for organ transplant. *If you have been diagnosed with Addison’s disease *If you have been diagnosed with severe Epilepsy. *If You have undergone major surgery in the last 6 mo and if so this needs to be discussed before hand. *If you are currently receiving chemotherapy. You must be free and clear of all Western cancer treatments for at leaf 6 mo before participating in Sapo/Kambo and even still this needs to be discussed before hand.You may be able to take Sapo/Kambo if…( please discuss in advance) You may be able to take Sapo/Kambo if…( please discuss in advance) *You are taking immune suppressants for auto immune disorders. *You are a woman undergoing fertility treatment. *If you suffer from an extreme eating disorder. *If you are actively engaging in drug or alcohol addiction. *If you are taking regular high doses of slimming, serotonin and/or sleeping supplements. *If you could be a person who has fasted for 7 days before treatment and who may have a disturbed electrolyte balance.
Other Considerations *It is advised to refrain from water fasts, enemas, colonics, liver/gallbladder flushes with in 5 days of treatment. Juice fasting is okay *If you suffer from asthma please bring your inhaler with you. *If you have Type 2 Diabetes you need to bring insulin, testing strips and sugar /food. *Menstruation flow may increase for 24 – 36 hours following treatment. *It is completely safe to continue to take any other medication, however please discuss this beforehand. *Please keep water consumption to a cup before treatment and nothing more than a quart during treatment. We are not focusing on vomiting. Vomiting is not the goal here however it could happen. I find that excessive amounts of water not onlyinhibit the medicines capacity to go deep to excrete the old bile held in the liver and gallbladder but it also adds to the feelings of extreme nauseousness which isn't necessary or pleasant.
What to expect during a ceremony or private treatment? Sapo/Kambo is known as an ordeal medicine and it is physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually intense. Treatments last roughly 30-40 minutes in addition to the time spent before and after up to 2.5 hours total. The practitioner uses dried venom (which is place on bark from the amazon) and then activates the dried venom with Saliva in the case of Sapo. Points/Gates of venom are prepared Your practitioner will use vine known as Tamashi from the Amazon to burn small points on a superficial layer of your skin these are known as 'gates' and support the 'points/venom' to enter through the superficial burn into your lymphatic system. For all first timers with Sapo, participants will start with 1-2 gates yes even if you have sat with Kambo and no one will ever go above 4 gates sitting with me. There is no point and no need to suffer anymore than you will. The full intoxication is sufficient at 4 gates. Remember 1 gate of Sapo is the equivalent to 5 gates of Kambo. The points/gates and the positioning of vary on an individual basis. This is an intuitive process combined with your intentions of why you are participating. People experience a variety of physical reactions. Some people feel dizzy and nauseated, tingly, increased heart rate, swollen face, scratchy throat, the need to defecate. And Finally…
